Skunk 8pe Clothing Company was born somewhere between a ghost hunt in one of Florida’s oldest cemeteries and a muddy fossil dig along the St. Johns River.

We’re the Callahan family—Justin, Danielle, and our three kids: Jameson (8), Ireland (7), and Faith (6). Every year, our family takes what we call an “adventure vacation,” where the kids pick the destinations and we hit the road exploring Florida’s hidden gems. From chasing buffalo across Payne’s Prairie to air boating in the Everglades, exploring historic Micanopy to fishing off the Gulf Coast, no day is ever the same.

What is the same? The Florida heat. The mess. The sweat. The need for clothes that could keep up with it all.

Skunk 8pe started with a simple goal: to create lightweight, breathable, quick-drying, stain-resistant clothing that could handle everything our Florida adventures threw at us—and still be comfortable (and clean enough) for lunch at a roadside diner. We needed performance wear for families like ours: active, on-the-go, and living life to the fullest.
